1994 Honda Accord LX Burning Oil; Loss of Power

I have a '94 Honda Accord LX that is above 110k miles. I took it in for an oil change about 20 days ago, and the oil was really low. I drove it for 16 days (about 60 miles a day), and noticed a loss in power. When I took it into the oil change place, they pulled out the dipstick, and there was no oil on the stick! The stick was also dark, as in it was burning oil. :(
Fast forward about 4 days to today, and as I'm driving to work on the highway doing about 55 and come up to a hill, I downshift into 4th gear to make it up, and I don't get that usual boost of power. It slowed to about 51. Then the fuel light came on, so I couldn't tell if it was lack of fuel or what.
I pulled into the gas station, put about $20 in the tank, and hopped back on the road. The power seemed to slightly come back, but it just wasn't the same. The lack in power didn't start until I tried to chug up the hill.
Intermittent problems: Sometimes I hear a high-pitched, repetitive whine. Like *tink tink tink tink tinktinktinktink*. This morning, it took a few more turns before the engine started.

it is best to use what the auto manufacturer for your vehicle suggests, this should be in your owners manual.

My 1994 Honda Accord LX words fine. It had the timing belts replaced at 55,000 miles, and I have been giving it regular maintenance. Does it really need a 60,000 mile check up, with all the fluids replaced...

Boy, you have a low mileage car!

I would think that you would not need much done, if the timing belt was just changed, but perhaps your transmission servicing should still be done, as that would not have been done with the belt change. Of course, your normal oil changes need to be done too.

I have a honda accord 1991 LX my head motor is broken... What can I do?? change the engine or rebuilt the head???

if its goit a lot of miles on it or burning or using oil then rebuild or replace it!
if your doing the head then you may aswell do the block as the new headwork can expose other issues like piston ring wear etc.

Can't locate oil sending unit on civic

Your vehicle is equipped with an oil pressure switch (not a sending unit) and it is located directly above the oil filter.

I have a '94 accord LX 5-speed with 111k miles. When I drive above around 70ish mph, the car starts to run a little rough, it begins to shake a little. There is no CEL light on and the oil was just...

Seem like you need to have at-least the two front tires high speed balanced. This shaking at high speed is most likely due to the tire being out of balanced. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Honda accord 1991 model

Sounds like it's burning oil-how many miles on the engine? If it is burning oil, the plugs will not last too long before they have to be replaced or cleaned, due to deposits left on them by the oil. How often do you have to add oil (how many miles do you drive before you have to add a quart?) It probably needs an engine overhaul. Countrycurt0
