Question about 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood

1 Answer

When I accelerate, car lunges and sometimes stalls. Sometimes, if I put it in neutral and accelerate the engine, the engine acts as if it has a 'snotty nose' and then it clears. I can put it back in drive and it runs okay for a while. Service light comes on frequently and I have had a new computer installed. Fuel filter problem?

How do I fix this? I have this problem and I don't know what caused it. I would drive normally and the car seems fine. Then it starts to act up, and it wont accelerate when I give it gas. The RPM continues...

I tend to agree more with the last suggestion it seems like fuel is the problem. Would do the fuel filter and if no change check fuel pump pressure. If all checks out then would start looking at power (electrical).

Car runs but sometimes dies as your going along wait a few minutes and it starts and runs again

Seen this many times on Grand Cherokees. The crank sensor is going bad. Replace it with a dealer crank sensor, not an aftermarket one.

97 Tahoe hesitates and sometimes acts like it will stall when accelerating. Stalls when coming to a stop.

even if you hear pump run, dosent mean it has enough pressure. it is very possible this is the problem. could be engine miss as well. does it jerk when accellerating (light load, like in overdrive up a hill?) let me know.

Engine light comes on and car acts as if it is about to stall.

This is minor dear. A friend had similar problem few months ago.

It is still the same issue diagnosis. Go to a neutral garage for another check but since it was established that the coil #3 has a problem, change it for a trial. The problem could be transmission related.
