Stalling/cutting out problem

I am having the "stalling/cutting out" problem with my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The mecanic has already check the two cover screws on the PCM, the distribtor cap, all spark plug wires & plugs, battery and battery connectors and changed the Crankshaft Position Sensor, but still got the problem. How can I get a PCM electronic Diagram for the 4.0 L 6 in line engine? And what else can I do? Appreciate your help

you need to check the fuel pressure, and did you mean you replaced the distributor or just the rotor because inside the distributor is a pickup plate that some times causes this also 02 sensor can cause this.is your check engine light on if so go to chain auto parts store they usually read your codes for free.

WHAT DOES THE KEY ICON ON DASH MEAN? MY CAR IS STALLING DOES THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE KEY ICON. 2000 JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED

The symbols should be explained in your owners manual. The symbol could mean that the key you are using is not recognized by the controller as being the correct key. I think this would not allow the vehicle to start at all. Are you using a key that is a copy obtained from anywhere besides a Jeep dealer? The keys have a chip in them that must be programmed by the dealer. If you are using the correct key, I would have the SKIM module checked.

1997 Jeep grand Cherokee limited 5.2l v8....how to fix very stiff steering. I have changed the power steering pump already an it is still hard to turn my wheels

sound like lack of lubrication at the steering joints, your ball joints need greasing and make sure you bleed power steering system, check power steering fluid level.if low more like power steering system full of air need bleeding.

Hi, You may have a defective ignition coil or a glooged fuel filter and/or fuel pump. it is hard for me to say at this point. What is the fuel pressure? Are there any trouble codes pulled from the PCM?

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Keeps stalling, engine

P0505 means the whole Idle Control system, not only the IAM. Check all related sensors (i.e. crankshaft sensor). Check with a voltmeter direct at the connector of the IAM if you get any signal. Remove the IAM from the TB, connect him, let someone switch your ignition key to ON. The IAM need to drive in/out for a short time to find the right position. Hold the IAM near a hard part, that they cant drive out completely! If IAM works fine, check the fuel pressure, check and clean your TB ( if not done yet). If that doesn't work, come back again please

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Stalling

Best thing to check is your fuel filter. After sitting for a little while, it will allow fuel through it but when you put a demand on the system, it cant supply enough and will sputter and die. Its easy to replace and very inexpensive. If it continues after that, you will at least know it was eliminated and can move from there.
