Question about 2003 Jeep Wrangler

1 Answer

My 2003 Jeep wrangler seems to have a fuel suply problem. It'll run great and then just lose power and quit. I changed the fuel pump relay andthat solved the problem for about 6 weeks but yesterday it did it again.I had a spare relay with me and that solved the problem. Why am i going thru relays? Or is it possibly a bad connection in the fuse block and relay block?

94 jeep wrangler runs 45 seconds then shuts down

You will have to figure out what is quitting when the engine stops.
If you are loosing fuel to the injectors, it could be a pump relay, or something with the injectors.
If you can spray carb cleaner into the throttle body and keep it running, look for a fuel problem.

Replaced fuel pump and it keeps popping out why?2003 jeep wrangler

Does it lose power under acceleration? When you changed the pump did you change the strainer also? You should change the fuel filter if you have not done so. The other thing to check would be the fuel pressure regulator.

97 Jeep Wrangler sport- Cranks, will not

Fuel flow. Either simply, a blocked fuel line (debris / filter / fouled gas) or an electronic issue. Ever let this Jeep run bone dry on gas? Hopefully not, as doing so can draw a lot of crud into your fuel lines from the bottom of the tank. Electronically, if part of the Jeep "brain" has gone bad, there may not be any fuel being routed to the engine. This most likely needs a Jeep mechanic to repair.

What should the amperage be for a fuel pump relay on a 2003 jeep wrangler

A relay should not draw amps it is only a switch. (OK perhaps a .02millivolt drop between the "in" volts and "out" volts) You should have 12volts or better (running voltage) at the pump harness connection and a good ground.
