Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

1 Answer

I have 98 GMC pickup with 305 smaller V8. The heater hose blew out of the heater hose assembly. Can't unscrew assembly from top of engine. I think it will take the threads with it. Do you have suggestion. Dennis

go and buy the plastic clip new for reinstalling it the old 1's are not reuseable anyways and you can see on the new pieces how it comes apart.

a new 1 will push right in and have a tight seal that shouldnt leak /haha plastic holding it in /you wouldnt think that's such a good idea now is it. i know i dont think much of how they come to that save a buck idea. a hose clamp still would work but nope /now you need to buy the plastic insert that locks it in place . sorry to tell you that and it wont be as cheap as a hoseclamp .

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra what engine wiring harness is interchangeable with this truck

I believe a 96-98 harness from any chevy or gmc would work. V8 to V8 not V6 to V8 the 305 and 350 would be the same harness

Need an emissions schamatic for my 1984 K10 silverado 305 engine

Unfortunately, there are 13 variations for this engine and year. Was this truck sold or modified for high altitude? Was it sold in California or modified to meet the CA emission standards? Does it have a manual or auto transmission? After narrowing down based on answers to these questions, there are still alternative configurations depending on the particular equipment, so look carefully at the diagrams to see which components are used on your engine. Sometimes you can match the 3 letter code for the diagram to letters in the VIN or a sticker in the engine compartment. Please let me know if you have questions.

Where is the engine oil spout for a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer Where do you put the engine oil in?

depends on engine, some are on one or the other valve cover,my older GMC pickup( 305 v8), has it on the left valve cover toward frount, and says "oill here"
I have also seen older modles have a tube with a cap at midle frount of engine, usually it will be marked with either "oill here", or just plain "oill"
I hope this wil help!

98 chevy S-10. I turned on my heat one time, it made a weird noise then lost the heat and only blew cold air. After changing the lower heater hose, which was busted, I tried flushing the system and lost...

simply connect a garden hose to ether side of the heater core and turn on the pressure, it should flow freely, this is a good method to flush the heater core, then flush in the opposite direction
