Chrysler, Dodge and Possibly JEEP Late Models.(I am not sure about Jeep)

The blower motor resistor is located inside the HVAC duct, (heating, ventalation, and cooling) on the passenger side footwell area. It is accessed from inside the passenger compartment. You can test it with a multimeter to see if it is open. it looks like this when do i replace the blower sensor in a dodge 1992 - b8c93c9.jpgThey are about 33.00 from When you find the connector on the duct that is connected to this resistor block, remove the connector with a small screwdriver, you have to find the lock tab and gently lift it up and pull on the connector to remove the connector. remove one screw and it will come out. most times you can tell if they are bad by looking at them. if you cant test it have someone you know that can do it. I am 99% positive that that is your problem, Unless the connector came loose. Please let us know if this was helpful as i strive to improve helping others on a daily basis. Yours looks a little bit different than this, but close to it.d63763f.jpg

1992 Dodge Dakota 2wd 3.9L V6 Air conditioning/Heater dosent blow? when i turn the air or the heat on i can hear the compressor kick on but it dosen't blow cold or hot? any help would be appreciated

Roger it sounds like the blower motor is not comming on. There is a resistor network located in the engine compartment on the passenger side mounted to the firewall, that controlls the blower motor. The connections may have corroted or the unit itself is bad. That was the first thing I had to relpace when I got my used 92 Dakota. There is also a 30 amp fuse in the fuse box under the dash board . If that is blown I would suspect the blower motor is seized up or just pulling too much power.

The fan motor switch in my 1990 dodge dakota does not work. I have checked the blower motor out and the fuses out. and the resistor out. they all are fine. I am not getting any juice to the fuse box for...

Have you checked the blower motor resistor. Usually locate in the blower box with a plug on it. Has 2 bolts holding it in. Take out and inspect.

Were is the oil pressure sensor located on a 1992 dodge dakota

It is located behind the breather, on the passenger side of the distributor. If you are having low oil pressure I'll give you a tip. You can change the sensor, but if that doesn't work, then the problem very likely could be that, dodge dakotas are notorious for a buildup of sludge on the screen of the oil pump, which blocks the flow of oil. If you are going to drop the oil pan to address this you may as well put a new oil pump in while you are at it. They are 30-50 dollars. If you can do it yourself, the whole operation should cost less than 100 dollars, if you take it to a garage, you better have a fat wallet.

1992 Dakota heater problem??

The fan generally is located under the dash on the passenger side... while you are there you will notice a couple wires plugged into the side of the duct work near the fan... that's your resister block for the fan speeds... it's likely failed... remove the two or three screws holding it in... unplug the connecter and replace it.
