Good day, remove the battery terminals, remove the nut and please disconnect the battery cable from the magnetic on the starter. remove the bolt and nut and remove the starter from the flywheel. after doing so lift the front end of the car, it may be hard to drop the starter out so you can start turning the wheels where it can get thru. hope this helps, its not gonna be an easy job. have a nice day

Not at all. Just make sure the thermostat civer is sealed so you dont leak coolant. If you are overheating, has the waterpump been changed and the timing belt, since the water pump is timing belt driven.

Replace starter on 92 4runner 3vze 3.0 liter

The starter comes out from the passengerside wheel well.Disconnect battery, then jack up vehicle and put a jack stand under the car on the frame. Remove the cover up in the wheel well. Remove front skid plate to gain access to the lower starter bolt. Remove wire hooked to starter and to motor mount. Remove two small bolts on heat shield. If vehicle is an automatic remove kickdown cable bracket. Upper starter bolt can the be removed and the starter will come out.

I have a 1990 toyota 4runner sr5! There is a black and white wire that goes to the starter that has power to it! Half way down this wire there is an encased diode or something and another wire comes up...

remove the 4 nuts in front of fan,,, pull fan off ... then fun part... gotta jar it up and down all the while pulling... shake it even!! but watch how much pressure you have or you will smash fingers on ac condensor when it does give lol then the pullies will easily pull off leaving i think 3 bolts holding the mount on.

How do i change the starter on a 1999 sr5 4runner

You'll need basic hand tools to change out the starter. The starter is usually held in place by 2 or 3 bolts. You'll need to make sure you note where the electrical connections go in order to replace them in the correct location following starter replacement. You'll have to get under the vehicle to replace the starter, even so, It shouldn't take more than an hour.
