Have they checked for a short in the steering column where the signal switch and ignition wires may be touching or shorting together.

The check engine light could indicate many different faults! The only way to be sure is to get the fault codes read! This will indicate where the fault is! If you do not have a code reader then take it to a garage to have this done!

Engine Management Light

If you are not using the car dealer to research the problem, go on the Internet and in your browser list your vehicle year, make and model and check to see if anyone else has had the same issue and have posted an answer. If nothing, and you are concerned, take it to the dealer for the diagnostic. At least you will know what the problem is and will get your answer.

I don't know what would cause this but the dealer should have scanned for codes and each of these codes are caused by one or more issues. It sounds like they didn't complete the diagnostics job that they were paid to do.

I hope this helps.

Clio sport wont rev over 3500 rpm

It's in protection mode.

There's a fault somewhere which will harm the engine and so the engine defaults to a setting which will enable you to drive to the nearest Renault dealer or any other repair garage with a comprehensive diagnostic computer. Note that many independent garages have cut-price, cut-featured and frequently out of date diagnostic computers and vehicle data discs. It's one of a very few occasions that I'd actually advocate going to a main dealer.

The computer tells you what is wrong with emmison system issues the problem you are having is a mechanical or electrial system failure, my guell is it's the fuel pump or coil system. But the computer will record any malfunctions but won't report fuel pressure so I suggest you have the fuel pressure tested and coil tested. It may even be a loose wire on the starter or ingtion switch so take it back to the dealer and sk them to search thier data base to find other cars with that problem. I do know yours is not the first.

THERE IS ONE COMMON FACTOR ABOUT COMPUTERIZED CARS "IF YOU HAVE A LOOSE OR FAULTY GROUND WIRE "THE DIAGNOSTICS MACHINE WILL READ FAULTY THUS MAKING IT A TRIAL AND ERROR PROBLEM AT THE DEALER
WHAT I RECOMMEND IS CHECK OR HAVE YOUR GROUND WIRES CHECKED THERE SHOULD BE ONE FROM FIREWALL TO BLOCK,1` FROM BLOCK TO CHASSIES,1 FROM BATTERY TO BLOCK ,1 FROM BATTERY TO CORE SUPPORT AND PROBABLY MORE CHECK REPAIR MANUEL FOR ADDITIONAL GROUND WIRES
