My fuel gauge and tach guage stopped working

Look on ebay for instrument clusters. There are a couple of guys on there that repair them. The cost is reasonable. I sent mine to a guy in Oklahoma, he replaced all of the stepper motors as well as the light bulbs for a cost of about $65.00.

When i shut off 72 chevrolet the gas guage falls past full not em

Well, short of the gauge being defective, there might me a voltage regulator on the back of the instrument panel causing your issue.

Fuel guage stuck on full.

It is most likely a bad connection at the tank,or the gauge,if you find the wire,on the connection ,at the tank, ground it,if it pulls down to empty, then the gauge is fine.If you secure the connection at the tank, and the gauge still,is past the full mark, replace the sending unit at the tank.

My 1998 bonneville fuel guage is stuck on full. What should I do?

there is a plunger in the fuel tank that controls the gauge, have a mechanic check that, and worst case have a new gauge installed. and if you dont want to do any of those. just keep an eye on the amount of mileage driven and refuel as necessary.

1997 chevrolet truck-fuel gauge went past full wont move.

Most likely the fuel level sending unit is defective. I have also seen a faulty voltage regulator cause a fuel guage to peg out. (Go past full and not move). I don't know if it is the problem in this case, but it is something to consider. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Gas guage stuck past full mark(1996 gmc jimmy)

hate to be the bearer of bad news but you asked
you will have to drop the fuel tank and pull the float assembly out and you can try to clean it up but it usually is only a temporary fix

Fuel gauge problem

sending unit on the fuel pump in the tank is stuck, and needs to be replaced. its expensive, but that will fix your issue. its the housing around the pump that has the float arm on it. you can try to free the float arm by removing your pump assembly, but cant guarantee its any good after being stuck
