Question about 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
Hi got a slight problem with my Oldsmobile. when i get to above 85km/h and cruise the car shifts into 4th and a shaking occurs that is obviously not healthy. so when i'm driving i stay below 85 but when i have to go on the highway if i keep accelerating and decelerating it stays in 3rd and no problem except for milage, usually avoid that one. just wondering what it is and if theres a hopefully cheap way to fix it. don't really have the cash.
Good day, well you have a tricky problem and a very cheap solution to handle it. my advice is try to get your automatic transmission fluid checked. if its smells like fried then you should change the fluid and you will have a smooth one. in fact it will prolonged your transmission life. dont forget to replace the filter too. have a nice day

Go to NAPA auto parts store, cause I know they have this product,Lube Guard. It is a great additive, just add this to the transmission,it will un stick valves in the valve body, and lock up converter solenoids,it stops transmission shutters also.It treats the metal in the transmission.
