Sounds like a worn belt. Check the tensioner to make sure it is applying proper tension.

Toyota Corolla SW 1.4 VVT-i E12, 2004. Buzzing noise coming from the engine bay when accelerating on gear.

Hi there,

The sound you hear, is it a whining, popping, grinding, scraping or rattling sound?
If you drive a manual transmission vehicle and notice a grinding noise, it can indicate the clutch gear is no longer disengaging correctly.

What does the 06 2.4 chrysler sebring do when camshaft position sensor is bad

Camshaft sensors fire the injector sequence. If all else is good. You would just start losing gas mileage. Hesitation is usually a dirty air filter and throttle body. What codes did you get?

Wat is causing my 2001 Chrysler Sebring to have a low whining sound when accelerated. it does not go away. also when taking off you have to push hard on gas pedal to get it to go faster and then it goes...

Don't know why you would be here asking or driving
a vehicle with that issue & the emissions light on.
It should have been in a shop a long time ago
I'm going to guess & say the Exhaust Converter is worn
out & blocking the exhaust getting out & you have to check
why it failed & correct those issues before installing a new one

High Pitch whine during acceleration

Hi Pullerwife,

I have a few suggestions for you,

First of all, check your air filter, make sure its clean, not clogged, and doesn't need to be changed.

I don't know how handy you are, but if you are fairly handy, check the idler pulley bearings, if your not, have a shop check it out, as a last resort.

Power steering pump/fluid being low is also a possibility, but thats usually more of a lower pitched whine then what you describe.

You say once the vehicle is warmed up, the whining stops. Does Weather seem to be a factor as well?

Hope I've helped, and don't forget to rate.
