The bolts that hold it in place need to be removed with a punch or chisel. The heads break off during installation for security purposes.

2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser no power to fuel pump changed PCM put power to relay still nothing any help would be appreciated thanks

I think there is a fuse that protects the relay, otherwise the ignition switch may be bad not allowing current to the relay.

My 2007 Chevy Silverado lt new body I put my key in ,turned it key broke can't get key out how can I change the ignition switch if I can't put in on position any help I'd appreciate it

You could try a very tiny dot of super glue on both pieces of the key. If you get it just right, you should be able to pull that key back out, without having to replace the ignition.

When i turn the key off the switch wont go all the way to the lock position to get the key out

If your shifter is all the way up, your going to have to change the ignition switch and the lock cylinder. There is no other way around it. It sucks. I had to change mine a year ago. 320 for the ignition and 200 for the labor. If you have a question, just let me know. I am here to help. Sorry about the bad news my friend. 4 thumbs up is appreciated if you appreciate the reply. Your best bet is going to a junkyard and doing it yourself. It would save you hundreds. Take care.

No spark

There's no emergence switch, if there was it would only be for fuel and not spark, there four thing to get spark,
ignition control module, ignition coil, distributor pick up assembly and spark plug wire's check for spark at coil, more then likely it's going to be your distributor pick up assembly, the pick up sit in side your ignition distributor, replace it and it will start, hope this was very helpful.

Changing the ignition in a 1995 Nissan 200SX

this is not a job a novice really should tackle as you can do a lot of damage to all the other switches located in the steering column. You should call a locksmith or have the car towed to an auto repair shop and have them change the switch.

Starts then dies imediately after starting.

It could be a defective ignition switch.

Ignition switch

Need to disconnect battery, then remove airbag, the steering wheel (mark before removal), then remove top and bottom sheering column covers, then the spiral spring. At this point you will have access to the housing where the ignition switch is mounted. there is a breakaway bolt that secures this to the steering wheel. Can use an air hammer and gently loosen. Then you disconnect the harnesses from behind. Continue by sliding the housing off and then you will have access to the screw that secures ignition switch in place.
Install is the reverse.
