My mazda protege is having a heating problem. The temp guage will go up to the normal place as the engine warms up but then when I drive down the road the temp guage goes down to below cold and then my car...

I believe the mazda protege has a separate thermoswitch to activate the radiator's fan. Perhaps the fan keeps blowing until the temperature is too low. Try replacing the fan thermoswitch. Just take care to put in tis place a thermoswitch of the same temperature range.

I want to know what is the best solution for fixing my heating issue w/my 2000 Ford Police Interceptor. I recently flushed the coolant system and the heater began to work for about a month. Now it will...

I'd certainly start by replacing thermostat and be sure when you re-fill the system that you run engine with heater on while doing so to bleed all air out, as well as get coolant through heater core. Leave rad cap off until you see flow through rad at normal operating temperature. I normally wait to see flow 2 or 3 times before I put cap back on, then top up return bottle to proper level.

2003 madza protege5 hear does not work replace and flush out the system and changed out therostat heater core does not leak nor fogg the windshild still no heat from the vents only slightly warm air out...

What is the coolant temperature after it has been running?. If the temperature is normal and you still have no heat there may be a blockage in the heater core. I would recommend reverse flushing out the heater core to try and dis-lodge whatever may be clogging it and see if that helps.

To reverse flush it just dis-connect the hoses to and from the heater core, hook a garden hose up to the oultet side, and turn on the water.

When I try to shift from park to drive it gets tight at reverse as if doesn't want go but once out of reverse it shift normally until shifting back to park when I have to go threw reverse then it tightens...

Is it only when you go from park to reverse? Or is it just as bad going from neutral to reverse? I've noticed on mine that it's often tight if I park on even a slight slope. If it only happens when going from park to reverse, try this. Hold your foot on the brake, and put the car in drive. Keeping constant pressure on the brake, go back to park, then back into drive. Did you feel the stiffness when you had your foot on the brake?

98 cad deville is running at 210 degrees

Reverse flush the cooling system and put in fresh antifreeze to -20. (20 below zero). If that doesn't help, replace the thermostat.

2002 caravan, heater problems

That was a common complaint a few years back, due to the fact that the heater core is a little too much higher than the engine, which requires that extra push it gets when engine RPM's increase. One thing I did do on my Caravan was remove my hoses to the heater core, and use a small external pump with hoses to circulate C.L.R. through my core for a while, then let it sit with CLR in the core overnight.Next day I circulated it through again, both ways by reversing hoses, and then re-attached hoses, bled air out of system, and notice quite an improvement in heat at idle. Once cleaned out, the heater core allowed coolant flow through it better at idle. If your stumped by explanation, take it to an automotive shop, or a Rad shop, and get a quote on flushing that core out for you. I recommend the CLR, but it might be too time consuming for you , but a flush will probably show some noticeable improvement.
