You do not. All you can do is have a reliable service center flush trany, replace filter, and hope they put enough in.

Manual for 2004 lincoln ls

first locate the dip stick for the transmission under the hood, after that start car and let run for 1 min,( car has to be running to check transmission) pull dip stick out and wipe it off the stick it back in and check the level again, if it is low you will have to pour the trans. fluid in thru the dip stick hole, add a little at a time and continue to check fluid level until it reachs fill mark on dip stick also the do not make a manuel for the Lincoln LS you can order a disk from Helminc.com that covers all related thigns for this car I had to order one for my LS good luck

On a 2002 cavalier the transmission has no dip stick and it is slipping

Replace the dipstick for your transmission. Top it off with fluid, and re assess the performance of your transmission.

Your transmission will not function properly without a certain build up of pressure. Not having the dipstick in the check line will not allow this pressure to build.

How do I check he transmission fluid

Start the car and let it warm up. Set the parking brake and put the transmission in neutral. Then open the hood and on the drivers side of the engine is the transmission. There is a dip-stick that will say transmission. Pull the dip-stick and check the fluid on the dipstick.

Your transmission is sealed and has no dip stick, checking the fluid level properly involves using a factory scan tool.
