O2 sensors are usually in the exhaust, check just below the exhaust manifold. You MUST have a special socket to install the new sensor or a VERY BIG wrench.

I have a 2000 Daewoo Lanos with a check engine light code of P0240 can you assist me with this issue so I can pass smog

that's the o2 sensor code. it should say catalyst efficiency. you either need to replace one of your o2 sensors ($52 at autozone), or it could be your catalytic converter.
