1997 toyota 4runner's heat quit working

I have a 1997 toyota 4runner sr5 and the heat in the front quit blowing hot air to the front of the car. but the control in the back still blows hot air

There is a vacuum damper that diverts the air. Make sure the vacuum lines are still attached. You may also have an "air motor" which is 12 volt, to run the divertor, check your fuse for HVAC

There is a blower in front and back and the blower in the front is most likely blown

You could have a bad cooling system pressure cap or you could most likely have a low coolant level.

Heat gauge goes way up,then by reeving motor it will go down.blows cold air

1997 toyota 4runner. I flushed the cooling system. The heater blew hot air for a while. Now it blows coolair


check hose s make sure both hot. it not u have air in the lines. start engine cold remove rad cap and run car fill coolant to top of raadiator for about 20 minutes level will go down fill it up.. put cap on.. and fill resivor tank..

Heat blowing in back under the seat but no heat in the front


Except your engine does not carry a factory fitted AC.

The hose that connects to the dash board should be re-aligned.

That should fix it.

99 4Runner heat blowing from console behind driver's seat


It sounds silly but there is a separate unit in your console that you can only turn off if you go in from back seats. You probably already did that, but if not try. You can not turn it off from any controls on front panel. If it doesn't work, I would think something is wrong with the switch. Open it up and look at wire connection from switch regulator. It also has a heat regulator on the console facing back seats? Mine does anyways.

Fuse for Radio & Digital Clock


Please check the harness of the radio and wiring there could be short in the wiring which is causing this problem.......................
