How does she know it is low ? If she is leaking brake fluid she needs to have that repaired A.S.A.P.
The master cyl. is on the drivers side coming off of the firewall, with a cap that says " DOT 3 "

If the high mount brake light goes out also, replace the brake switch at the brake pedal. If it always works, replace the turn signal switch.

How to fix a p0741 code on 2005 ford freestar?

That is a Torque Converter Clutch code it is reading that the circuit performance is stuck off. try these solutions one at a time. 1. check transmission fluid level. 2. add lucus trans treatment. 3. replace sensor. 4 replace torque Converter. Erase code after each action.

2005 chevy duramax 4x4 brake pedal goes all the way to the floor, ABS light on

You need to add BRAKE fluid. After that, blead your brakes. You need to find out where the brake fluid went. If there are no leaks, you need to check the remaining life on all four brake sets. If you have no leaks, chances are pretty good that you need new brakes.

Replacing rear brake pads on 2006 Freestar ..piston won't move back with c clamp

I just had this problem myself. I ended up removing the caliper completely and drained it of all of it's fluid. I then held it in my hand and used an 2" round bar to beat the piston back down. once you break it loose it goes fairly easy. then bolt it all back up and bleed the brakes

There is air in the brake system and must be bled. They have devices for bleeding the system...basically you need to replace the air with fluid. Hope this helps !

I have a light on the dashboard thats lit up that looks like this (!) what does it mean? 2005 ford freestar

hi this is to do with the braking system, does the picture look like a tyre? if so it is telling you that you need to inflate your Tyre's as they are low, or you have low brake fluid, look under the hood and check the reservoir to see if it needs topping up, or handbrake light ( this is normally in a circle with the exclamation mark in the middle with the ( ) on the outside, this is telling you that your pads need replacing...hope this helps please vote thanks

I have a light that has come on one my van its flashing it looks like a question mark with a circle around it. 2004 ford freestar SE van

Could it be an exclamation (!) in a circle? If it is, that is the warning light for your brake system. Check the fluid level at the master cylinder, add if needed, and check for brake fluid leakage under the car. Be careful, as you may lose your brakes if the fluid level drops too low. If this is NOT the symbol you see, let me know, I'll try to find another explanation for it. If it is a ? inside a cutaway of a tire, (kind of a 'U' shape with a question mark in it) it is your tire pressure monitoring system warning of low tire pressure in one or more tires.

Changed caliper on 2005 ford freestar and now brakes are spongie.

Use a vacuum pump brake bleeder starting at the furthest point from the master cylinder. They cost abt $35. Be sure to keep master cylinder full... :)
