Question about 2002 Ford Expedition

I need to find and unclog the A/C drain valve of 2002 Ford Expedi

I think I found the A/C drain valve on the outside part of the firewall on the passengers side through underneath my Expedition. The drain valve (I think) sticks out approx. 1/2 inch and it is nearly imposible to get to it with anything other than a wire hanger folded at the end. I already poked at it but, it did no good. There has not been any water release through the valve but it instead leaks out inside the vehicle on the drivers and passengers side floor board. Is what I described the actual drain valve (1/2 inch valve) and if it isn't, then where is it located? Can the A/C drain valve be unclogged any other way? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice?

Well normally a/c valves are located under the hood ( hope thats correct ime from UK we say bonnet) , and not under the passenger side firewall, if you have a wet carpet this is normally a sign that the internal heater matrix under your dash is leaking, you shouldnt have any A/C pipes inside the vehicle ( as the gasses are dangerous ) so if you have heating problems and loss of engine water, its the matrix if you have no A/C it needs re-charging, you can normally find these either on passenger side/front inside engine bay, they normally have red or black caps that you unscrew and under them it looks like a tyer valve ( like the one you inflate on your wheels) i hope i have understood what you wanted, hope this helps

THERE IS NO DRAIN VALVE FOR YOUR A/C!!!! There are only high pressure and low pressure connections. Your A/C is probably low on refrigerant, and compressor not turning on. Attempting repairs on something you know nothing about is dangerous!!! It could cause you injury, or damabe the vehicle more. That's why mechanics earn what they do, are certified.!!!!

You are positive it is only water ? If you can get to the HVAC cover on your firewall you can probably get to the drain from there, and flush it

2005 buick lesabre AC hose plugged leaking water onto passenger floorboard. How do I fix this?

You need to find the drain pan line that comes through the firewall. Open the hood and search for the line on the passenger side firewall. The line is probably clogged from insects, animals, or other gunk. use a short piece of dowel or wire to unclog the line and allow the pan to drain to the outside of the vehicle.

Where is the condensate drain on a 2002 expedition

I think what you are looking for is the Evaporator drain...Stand in front of the vehicle and open the hood,on the left side of the engine compartment there is a large black plastic unit bolted to the firewall,at the lowest point in that unit is a hole or a rubber hose deflecting the flow of water.this is the drain

The system is freezing up,the reason, the evaporator box is filling up with condensation, the drain needs to be unclogged, there is a drain under the car right below where the ac lines go into the firewall into the car.It is hard to find, and you will need an air tank to blow air into the drain and unstop it,water will pour out like mad when it is unclogged.Keeping the cabin filter will help keep this from happening again. If this was helpful, please rate, and thank you.
