Well 1st you need to get a good battery in the car (low voltage sets the alarm off), then u just use the key and lock and unlock drivers or passengers door with the key to disarm the alarm..

On my '98 Ford Explorer, the 4WD Low light went on when i put it in high. Then i went to disengage it and the 4WD Low light won't got off, and now my car will barely accelerate

When you try to disengage the 4Lo, the transmission must be in neutral and your foot on the brake. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

I just installed a new battery in my 2000 Mercury Cougar and as soon as I attached the second battery cable the car alarm went off and the two blinker arrows on the dash are blinking. If I start the car,...

You can disengage alarm with a remote if you have one otherwise, close bonnet, all doors and lock the car by turning key completely to the left and right few times and do the same to unlock. This will dead lock and unlock the car. When you hookup the battery make sure you connect red wire first and then the black one.

Alarm is going off but couldn't unlock doors with remote; opened door with mechanical key but can't start the engine; battery is old- would the battery failing cause these events; do the remote keys go...

Hi,

Depending on the type of vehicle you can but not usually. The alarm would have tripped off due to the battery going flat thats why you could not open the doors with the remote, or switch the alarm off.

The only way you can disengage the alarm is to remove the alarm relay and bypass it.
But unfortunately we can not give you this type of information as it can be used in a ' negative way ' or thieft of vehicles.

But for you, just fit a good battery and then you should beable to switch the alarm off with the remote.

Hope this helped.

My alarm keeps going off it draind my battery dead and i would like to know how to disconnect it i got a 96 volkswagen jetta

When they install a alarm, there is a switch, usually under the dash, in the side by your feet, lot to far from teh fuses and the light. Depending on the alarm, it is a small flip switch you will be looking for, you just switch it off, and then it will beep, hit the remote and it should disable it, I had to call a alarm company for the exact sequance, but they will disengage

hope it helps
