Do a tune up.. To include plugs, wires, 02 sensors, air and gas filters.. That should bring back into a good range.

Cavalier 97 2.2 l,3,40000 km.power steering fluid is full but yesterday noticed that it is hard to steer right or left at low speeds but if increased the rpm steering behaves normal.does any body know what...

Your power steering pump is starting to give out. The part will run less than $100, labor will be outrageous. I suggest getting a shop manual and doing it yourself if you have some basic tools and mechanical knowledge, it's not terribly difficult.

Hi i have an 850 t5 estate the speedo is not working and neither is the odometer? car is a 1996

It's your abs control module. Remove your abs control module and send it out to be rebuilt. It should cost you less than $100. Check out the offerings on Ebay.

What is the best engine oil for the mercedes e320?

The best oil for any car is 5W-30 synthetic, I personally recommend Mobile 1. 5W-30 Synthetic flows more rapidly to engine parts thereby reducing "dry start" wear. In addition, full (not part) synthetics contain fewer additives (they don't need them) than conventional oils. Conventional oil additives "burn off" rapidly (500-1000 miles) after an oil change and sludge accumulates over time as a result.

Synthetic oils use much less of these additives (5% vs 20-30%) than conventional (Dinosaur oil) so there's much less sludge to build up. Synthetic oil also has a more uniform molecule size, this extends oil longevity and reduces running temperature.

I've personally used Mobile 1 for many yeas in my cars and would recommend it although I'm quite sure that other FULL synthetics would offer similar benefits.

High oil consumpsion

U can have a cylinder leak-down test run for around $100 to see if rings are ok but I am sure it will just indicate you need to overhauled the engine, that much oil consumption is only caused by worn rings/cylinder walls or a blocked or partially blocked crankcase ventilation system (PCV).

My gas gauge doesn't work

Hi,

Typical for concerns such as yours would be the sending unit inside the tank. In some cases, it would just be a connector that has been disengaged, loose or corroded, often however, it would be the internal float and the position sensor. A quick temporary workaround is to use carb/injector cleaner to be poured inside your fuel tank. It is intended to clean the fuel system from the tank to the injectors and in so doing also cleans the sensor. Of course the correct procedure would be to bring down the tank, remove the sending unit and physically clean the inside or replace.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
