My 2.5 kia sorento ran all right the previous day but came out to go to work it will onot start there is plenty of fuel in the tank please help

There is a chance something happened to the wiring harness going to the gas tank. The fuel pump and the circuit for the gauge is in the same harness.

Is it normal for the vacuum tester to bounce back and forth when testing on my 1977 Mercedes 300d

Hi Robert, I know that on the older models of the Benz a vacuum pump was fitted into the trunk for operating various units on the vehicle inclusive of the central locking system. The vacuum pump which operates on the braking system creates a much higher low pressure area than that used for other units. I believe if you fitted your gauge directly onto the brake booster pump you may have damaged your gauge. Regards John

My truck just turned 200,000 miles, the fuel gauge all of a sudden started vibrating or bouncing back and forth, it is so fast and the bounce is such a short distance its almost hard to notice. shortly...

I think that the pump and the sending unit for the gas tank which includes the fuel level sending unit will be needed to be replaced to rectify the problem.

Of course, the wiring should be checked out as well for wear of insulation before it goes into the tank. This is a common problem for older GM cars.

Good luck on this repair.

Fuel sensor gauge

you will need to replace the fuel level sensor.(sending unit) it is in the tank and is hooked to the fuel pump. you can buy seperatly from pump. you may finf it easier to remove the bed if you have some help. it is six or eight bolts and harness unplugs then you can get right to it.
