I have a 1993 BMW 325i, I am having cooling in which the car overheats profusely when running for a little while. I just replaced the thermostat and I am getting ready to go check the waterpump to see if it is working. what else coud it be that is wrong if the waterpump is good?

U may have a faulty fan clutch,If the fan is turning very slowly while the engine is running its faulty. Also you may have a restriction in the radiator, one way to check the radiator is to remove the hoses and flush water through it to see if it flows straight through.A common issue is the fan clutch be sure to check it first.

What could cause my 1993 bmw 740il to overheat

Make sure you have the right amount of coolant in the vehicle. Make sure your fans are running correctly. If they are not running, check the fuse. If all this checks out, it may be a bad thermostat.

I have a 1989 BMW 325i and it has been overheating so I replaced the thermostat, the housing, cover and the sensors. BUT it it is still overheating. What should I do now??

the problem is in your dash. you are going to have to replace the battery in the instrument panel.
these will control the opening and closing of your thermostat. i bet that you are having issues with your tach and possibly fuel consumption. once you do this you are set.
