How to replace heater core

Hi Quinton, I'm glad to help!

Quinton, this is a job that's very hard if you've never repaired cars before. The entire dash must be removed to gain access to the heater box that must also be removed to change out the core. You can google: how to replace heater core on 96 Lincoln town car. This will give you video's on how its done and give you an idea of the work involved. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Quinton.

1998 lincoln town car when i turn the temp to 90 it still wont get hot have changed the thermostat, and flushed heater core but it still won't get hot the AC works great just don't have no heater...

Just a stab at it................see if there's a vacuum or electric operated valve in the heater hose lines.Trace it out.The heater hose goes from the thermostat area at intake manifold thru the heater core, and back to water pump area. don-ohio

How do you install a heater core on a 1999 town car

This is a huge job. The heater core is behind the glove box behind the dash. The dash has to be taken loose and pulled away to access the heater core. You might consider paying to have this job done. I personally would rather change the engine or the trans than do the heater core.

My heater core went out on my lincoln town car

you have to go in under the dash to take it loose.....there are 2 clamps under the hood for the two hoses that run to it that you also have to take loose.under the dash you will have to remove the venting nera the middle of the car to get to the heater core.it takes a couple of hours to change it out.
