Details just in english; front wheel drive and some high-end rear wheel drive cars generally employ an Independent Rear Suspension, or IRS. In this case each wheel connects to the car by a group of lightweight control arms. This design saves weight, improves vehicle handling and does wonders for ride comfort.


Inspecting wheel alignment begins with a check for loose or faulty suspension components and requires the use of a costly machine to measure all the critical angles. The inspection and measurement phase takes perhaps a half-hour for each end of the car. Needed corrections can be fairly simple, or they can add to labor considerably should installation of retrofit parts be needed.

What does a rear axle look like


Your rear axle is the part that runs between the two rear wheels. The shock absorbers and springs are always attached to it. On a rear wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle there is a bulge in the center of the axle where the gears are located. On a front wheel drive car, the axle may just be a length of box steel. On a rear wheel or four wheel unit there are drive axles inside the housing that connect the gears to the wheels. On front wheel drive there is a spindle on each end with bearings and a flange to mount the wheel.

take help of the following steps to remove rear bumper on ur tucson.

Open the trunk of your vehicle.
  1. Unscrew all the screws on the inside plastic trim that covers your bumper to trunk connection.
  2. Pry the plastic piece out with a flathead screwdriver. You will expose the bolts that attach the rear bumper to the trunk.
  3. Unscrew the bolts connecting to the inside of your rear bumper. There should be four bolts.
  4. Unscrew the two to four screws connecting to your bumper from the inside of the rear wheel tire wells. These screws are on the area of the tire well that is closet to the bumper.
  5. Slide under the rear of your car. Use a flathead screwdriver to pop the plastic rivets out of place along the underside of the rear bumper. There should be four to six rivets.

  6. Squat behind your car and firmly pull the bumper off. There will popping plastic sounds, this is the pop-in-place plastic rivets that are the last pieces that hold your rear bumper in place.

What are the proper steps to bleeding your brakes on a 1990 vw golf deisel


For left hand drive vehicles: (If the car does not have ABS system you do not need any diagnostic equipment!)

IMPORTANT NOTE: You need using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car in order to bleed the ABS block. Follow instructions by scantool equipment for bleeding the ABS block.


1. This bleeding procedure requires two people. Remove the brake system reservoir cap, and fill up with new brake fluid until "MAX" level is reached.
2. Lift the car, or use a channel for access under vehicle.
3. Put the gearbox in "N" - Neutral position, or in "P" - Parking position for automatic transmission.
4. Start the engine and push the brake pedal firmly for 4 - 5 times to the floor, and maintain the brake pedal pushed to the floor.
5. Begin with the rear right wheel. Another person remove the dust cap and loose the brake caliper bleeding screw until the brake pedal goes to the floor. At this moment maintain the brake pedal pushed to the floor, engine idling, and tight the brake caliper bleeding screw. Use a plastic hose: one end connected to the brake caliper bleeding screw, and another end inside a recovery bottle for used brake fluid.
6. Repeat steps no.#4 and no.#5 until no air flows through the brake caliper bleeding screw. Tight the brake caliper bleeding screw, and put the dust cap in their place.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All the time check the brake fluid level in the brake system reservoir, and fill up if necessary!

16. Now the brakes are bleeded. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. Fill up with new brake fluid until "MAX" level is reached. Put back the brake reservoir cap.
17. Test the car brake system. The brake pedal movement no more than 1/3 of total stroke until the floor, when brake pedal is applied. Maximum admissible is 1/2 of total stroke.

Have 96 ford explorer Eddie Bauer. Passenger headlight is not working. Replaced bulb and still doesn't work. When I turn on bright lights it does light up but not when its the regular light.


Sounds like a bad connection in the head light wiring. Check for a poor/loose Earth wire bolt inside the engine bay near the head lights. Also check any of the plastic block connectors in the wiring loom for the head lights and also where the connector plugs onto the rear of the headlight globe itself. Sometimes the metal spade connections are not secured properly within the plastic block and can be pushed back when the plastic blocks are joined together. Check the security of these connectors in the plastic blocks by gently pulling then pushing each wire in the connector block. There should be little or no movement. Any loose ones will be obvious if they pull out some distance. If there has been a bad connection in any of the plastic connection blocks there may be signs of the plastic having been melted by the heat produced by the bad connection.

The connectors for towing wire harnesses on foresters are generally on the passenger side, below the rear taillight inside the cargo space. some require pulling up the foam block that is between the spare tire compartment and the taillight. Check where you replace the tailights from inside the car, if there isn't a matching connector hanging out there, check around the spare tire compartment, see if you can remove the carpeted foam block next to the compartment and find the plug under there.

1989 Ford ranger rear antilock light on rear brakes lock up


metal particles on the trigger wheel sensor of the rear differential case, this causes a loose of signal and the light to come on. also a broken tooth on the trigger wheel inside the diff can cause this or a dirty/corroded connection to the sensor from water intrusion.
