Only other options is to get a second opinion.

I would only allow this work to be done if they can guarntee that this will fix the problem.

If they did a full diagnoses then I would trust the opinion.

Its just with this many codes I hope they ruled out the computer a the problem

The only way to do a diagnosis is to check electrical sources for the proper voltage. Then to follow manufacturer .recommended procedures to illimanate if you have a compute issuer ot trans issue or possible a shorted out wire somewhere.

Your car has a issue that is only going to be found hands on. No shop will do anything we suggest. For them to guarantee the work they need to diagnose this.

I have a 2006 Pacifica touring and the following error codes: po700, po562, po736; po732, po731 and po,720 and po480. Can you tell me what I need to fix this?

With that many codes and those specific codes I would suggest finding a reputable transmission shop. I suspect either a wiring issue or a bad trtransmission control module. A good shop should be able to determine which in just a couple hours or so.

I was driving my 96 Dodge Stratus ES V6 & I came to a stoplight & the car cut off. I tried to start it back up & all it would do is trun over but wouldn't fire. I tried replacing the fuel...

  • P0736 Improper Ratio for Reverse Gear.
  • P0120 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Malfunction
  • P1783 Transmission Over-Temperature Condition.
  • P1784 Transmission system problems.

  • All these codes together are pointing to the solenoid pack on the transmission. Something with the actuators and or pressure switches. You can also have something further internally wrong with the transmission.
  • I know your trying to save money but this should be handled by a full on technician and preferably one that specializes in transmissions. I didn't want to have to tell you this but I wanted you to know exactly what you are dealing with.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

What it means the code p1784 chrysler van manufacture control transmission

p1784 is indicating that the pressure in the transmission is not correct for the low and reverse clutch in the transmission .. thats also use in forword gears .. first make sure the fluid leve is not low .. then you could have a bad "low/reverse"solonoid switch (thats on the drivers side of the transmission in a box called the solonoid pack) ... that could just be stuck .. if thats the problem it can be repaired without removing the transmission ..
