The first thing to check is your maintenance items(i.e. fuel filter, air filter, and transmission service). these items neglected will cause alot of problems that seem huge to the average car owner.

2001 Buick Century 3.1 liter, has no power when accelarting, slows when going up hill. Starts, and idles fine, have to manuallu make it shift gears by letting up on gas. Could id be the plugs and wires?

this happened to us on vacation. Catalytic coverter was plugged. It did this for a long time before overheating on a road trip. Have someone reputable check it, if it is hesitating a lot.

1993 buick century 3.3 transmission modulator help

it is located on the side of the transmission case, it has a vacuum hose going to it, make sure that hose is good and has vacuum from the engine going to the modulator, here is a picture of the modulator so u can ID it.

Have your catalytic converter checked to see if it is plugged. I had a similar problem & converter was the fault.

Brief transmission shudder

I would recommend you do a fluid and filter change, these kind of things are common when fluid gets worn out from heat and miles. Also check for any trouble codes if the check engine light was on.
