Question about 2000 Hyundai Elantra
Take your door cover off, give the window motor direct current(run 2 wires from your battery) to the harness prongs. switch the wires to prongs to make it go either up or down. If the window goes down you have a faulty window switch, if it does nothing, but get hot. you need to replace your window motor, some window motors come with new regulators too.

durangos have many problems with the windows motors and regulators, I know for personal experience , because I have one, ...when you try rolling the windows down do you hear any noise coming from inside the door..if so.. the cable is busted ..you will need the windows regulator, if no, is probably the motor..you will have to check for power and ground right at the motor connector...if power and ground are present, then you need a motor ....in mine ,I pull the motor and cleaned , and they have been fine for more than a year, I starter with one and them had to do the same to all of them..hope this help

Remove any and all screws from the door panel, including removing lock and window controls. then take a large flat-tipped screwdriver and pry off the panel all the way around. FInally lift panel up and off the door. Now you will have access to the inside of the door. Everything from here is self explainable.
