If HOUSING is broken, there is no repair, replace it. If you are replacing the thermostat, go to auto parts shop and they will show you where it is, and how to replace it. Just make sure you put thermostat in with the right side up, clean BOTH surfsces, and tighten down as specified. Having to go back and do it again will s@#k

the thermostat is on the front end side of the engine behind the alternator, just follow the radiator hose

Anti Freeze is spraying out of the top of the thermostat housing and the over heating light came on

the thermostat housing may have a crack in it or the gasket could need replacing, you need to find out exactly why it is leaking so as you can fix the problem.......cheers.

2006 chysler sebring has no heat. Is the

a sticking thermostat will cause the heat to be cold, that bleeder screw is to help purge the air out of the cooling system, when you add coolant to the radiator loosen this screw a bit and it will let the air out of the system, loosen the screw and add water until you get just water coming out, not bubbles, if it has bubbles coming out all the air isnt out of the system, try this first before replacing thermostat as air in the system will have an effect on the system

Follow the upper rad hose from the radiator and it will take you to the thermostat housing,the thermostat is in that housing.

2001 chrysler sebring leaking water beneath thermostat housing through a factory hole , I changed thermostat and gasket no change


This is called the water pump weep passage which is a sign that your seal in the water pump has failed.

You need to replace the water pump.

follow the large radiator hose from the radiator to the engine, you'll see a large clamp holding the hose onto the neck thats bolted to the engine block, under the neck is where your thermostat is located

Location of 2001 2.7L v6 chrysler sebring thermostat location

Follow the TOP hose on your radiator to where it connects on your engine block. The thermostat is under the metal piece mounted to the block which the hose is connected to. It typically has to bolts to remove and you will find the thermostat under it once you remove the mounting.
