Emergency fuel shut off valve

It is fuel pump shutoff that is motion (accident) sensitve. When a fuel injected car is hit, the sensor turns off power to the fuel pump so no gas is pumped out in a damaged car and create a dangerous situation.

Where is the reset button in a 2000 nissan frontier crew cab 4D

There is no Fuel Safety Shutoff Switch & never has been,
on anything but a Ford Product, & they only open to shut
off the fuel pump, in a very severe accident, that would leave
the vehicle totaled

My van will not run i have change fuel pump, filter

Try to see if you have a fuel pump relay and a fuel pump cutoff switch( fuel pump shutoff is for if you roll the vehicle or have an accident). Also, you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. I don't know what type of fuel injection you have but the regulator is on the fuel rail for multiport injection and on the TBI for throttle body injection..the best way to check for proper fuel pressure is to get a fuel pressure tester and connect it to the fuel rail( the connector looks like that of a valve stem)...on the multi port the pressure should be around 40-60psi and on the TBI it should be around 15-25psi. If all else, then check to see that the injectors are ok

Fuel shutoff switch switch location on a 1988 ford econoline 350 351 engine two gas tanks fuel pump on side wall

The fuel pump inertia switch that shuts off the pump in the case of an accident or impact is located under the right side of dash I have also
found them behind the right kick panel. There is also a fuel pump
shutoff relay under the hood on the left firewall, and a relay on the
right fender apron behind a plastic cover. Hope this helps.

I have a 1995 ford taurus it will turn over but wont stay running i think it's the fuel pump shut off switch?

There is a shutoff switch in the trunk. You can reset it by hand. It is designed to shut off fuel in an accident, but a good jolt on the road will engage it.

My fuel pump is not pumping some people say it has a saftey shutoff switch where is that located?

I have seen a flat tire cause those switches to trip. Usually on the passenger floorboard kickpanel or in the trunk on the sidewall. Take gascap off and have someone turn ignition switch on several times without starting while you listen for the pumps operation down the filler-neck. If no sound expect the switch is tripped or fuse blown or bad pump.

Starts wont stay running

without seeing it here is my best answere, do you have the ability to pull codes if the cam and crank sensors are functioning properly ( no codes for them) i would then check the fuel pump fuse and relay . do you have fuel getting to the fuel rail . if u have a guage to check pressure at the fuel rail it should be above 30lbs , if you have no pressure and your fuses and relays are good then you have a pump problem provided you have not been in an accident , i believe that vehicle has a safety shutoff that might be located in the trunk .
