If this vehicle is equipped with a fuel cut-off switch(inertia switch) it would be located in the trunk luggage area on the side with a label saying fuel switch. Some of these were equipped with them and some weren't.Any other questions please get back to me.....I'm here to help!! Thanks for using Fixya.:) rate me accordingly
I just checked with my reference manual and that's where it should be if the vehicle is equipped with the inertia switch. It is possible that this one is not equipped with one.Have you checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a mechanical fuel gauge? Have you popped off the timing belt cover to see if the belt is still intact? These cars are notorious for timing belt failure after 60000 miles.get back to me
to check the fuel pressure you need a mechanical fuel gauge that can be purchased at any autoparts store and then you install it on the fuel rail on top of the engine and turn the key on, then you turn the key off and monitor your fuel pressure. If it drops any or isn't the desired spec((35-45 lbs) then you can condemn the fuel pump.Just because you can hear it run does not mean it's building adequate pressure.

there is no fuel switch sign in the luggage area, can you check to see if there is a fuel cut off switch in my daewoo tacuma 53 plate.
the timing belts still on but don't know how to check the fuel pressure gauge.its got to be something to do with the fuel could it be a blocked fuel filter?when a turn the key its as though the fuel isn't getting through.I changed the spark plugs and leads a couple of months ago so a don't think it'll be to do with that.
