Question about 2000 Volkswagen Golf
Must be low on ATF, takes time to pressurize the TQ converter. It could also be a dirty filter that needs replacing. Or it need to re-learn the gas pedal position as in reference to idle pos and wide open throttle. Also needs to re-learn when the kick-down occurs. Hooking it to VAG 1551 scan tool or equivalent will significantly help determine whats going on with the transmission. That process of re-learning is called "Adaptation". When parts where either replaced, temporarily disconnected or simply cutting power from the battery by removing cable clamps from the poles will send the system back to default positions.
With the aid of a scan tool, you can program and set it up depending in country, climate and model of the vehicle.
