Question about 2004 Toyota Solara

99 Solara Radio Light not functioning

I have 99 Toyota Solara, everything works great except the radio display won't light up, during the day it works fine, but at night it's impossible to see. The rest of the radio lights up and so does everything else, just not the display. Does a light bulb need replacing, is it a blown fuse, could it be a short? I hate to buy another factory radio or worse aftermarket. Any ideas on fixing this

Check your fuse, sometimes integrated into other electrical parts of the vehicle. Possibly interior light fuse; cigarette lighter fuse; radio fuse?

I'm having this same problem! It wasn't a gradual or intermittent thing either. I literally just hopped in my car one evening after class and ... no light. Any luck fixing it?

2007 solara convertible got wet from roof open all radio 'not jbl' functions seem to work cd everything no sound . could a fuse have blown if so where?

If you have functions but no sound, its unlikely that there will be a separate fuse for the factory external amplifier. Have your owners manual? It has an appendix with a page number to the relevant fuse locations

Radio LED does not light, can only see the radio display during the day , radio works fine except for that one problem

Many of these newer type LED's are actually backlit by a tiny bulb. this bulb is available at the dealership only, and , installation is very affordable. However, there are still "true" LED's around and once they fail, that is it. You can only replace the face/radio. Call your local dealer and inquire as to which type yuo have. Thank you, Dana

My 2000 Toyota Solara radio has started to lose a strong signal.

Check mounting surfaces at antenna. Corrosion or looseness and the antenna loses its ground to the body.
