Your latch mechanism in between door and door frame is stuck. Need re-greasing or a new latch.

Gonna have to take the interior panel off to access the mechanism. Should be pretty simple, remove a few hold down screws and pop the panel off. A Haynes/Chiltons manual should have step by step instructions.

2006 Saturn VUE rear hatch won't open

The is a plastic plug on the inside panel, usually. Remove it to get to the latch with a screwdriver. If no plug, remove the top bezel on the hatch. Remove any screws on the side. pull out the bottom part and reach down to unlatch. Once open, remove the screws from the bottom. This will give you access the system. Check for power and grounds. Check wires for continuity. Check fuses/circuit breakers.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

My passenger door on my 2005 Saturn Vue Red Line won't open. The dealer took the inside panel off and can't figure out how to fix it. How do I fix the door?

will it open from the inside and not the outside? how did they get the door panel off they must have opened it. if so then the latch is ok which only leaves the outside handle. This is such a simple fix i don't understand the dealer maybe try another dealer or go to an independant body shop and ask them for help. explain what the dealer did to you and most will help you to hopefully get your business in the future. please let me know if this does not get your problem solved. let me know where you are and i will find someone in the area that will help you. good luck

If you can get the door open, pull the interior panel off. Find the lock mechanism and cable assembly. Buy some DRY LUBE. I usually use PB Blaster TDL Lube. Lube up the mechanism and the assembly. Use the door locks about 10 times to distribute the lube a little. Lube up the handle mechanism while you are at it.

Now, Check the physical placement of the lock stryker. (the "D" ring sticking off of the B pillar) Look to see if it is scratched, etched, or worn. if so, it "MAY" have come out of alignment. If that is the case, take it to a local body shop - not your dealer - and ask them to realign it. Offer them 20-30 dollars cash. They will usually have it done in about 3 minutes.

Funny thing about these Saturns, the Plastic doors are held together by very THIN strips of metal that come out of alignment very quickly. Find a body shop that is willing to "adjust things on an as needed "cash basis" and you will find that you will save a trmendous amount of money.
