Question about 1997 GMC Yukon
My 4 wheel drive switch would engage my 4+4 i checked fuses inside does it have a outside fuse?
I unhooked my drive line to tow apx 1200 miles dont know if this had anything to do with the 4+4 not working.
I was working last year have not use it since then . the light in on but it does not switch from 2 wheel to 4 .
If the transfer case is engaging, try it in 4X4 low foot on the brake and other on the gas (power braking) and you can get the rear tires to break loose your 4 wheel drive actuator switch is bad, a common problem on these 4X4's. It is a simple repair and is located on the front differential.
