On the bottom of the transmission is a plastic or medal plug. Its hard to find without close inspection. On the bottom is a rectangular pan and the plug is near the gear shifter.

Look around your trans. There should be a coat hanger with a rubber or plastic handle, usually red in color. If not, you are not able to service it, dealership service only!

My dad and I want to fill the tranny fluid on my 96 honda accord but we can't agree on what the bolt looks like...we know the approximate area it should be located in though but there are two bolts it...

If this is an Automatic Transmission you should fill using a funnel and pouring fluid down the Dipstick tube in small amounts and checking the fluid level after each pour. Also the car should be "Warmed-Up" prior to installing the fluid, Unless the dipstick has a level reading for "COLD" and "HOT". Hope this helps!

96 Nissan Fto, what short of transmission fluid..

Get some Mercon Dextron ATF fluid and you take a funnel and pour it directly where the Transmission dipstick goes after you remove it.

Where do you add transmission fluid?

You add transmission fluid through the transmission dipstick tube, same one that you check the fluid level through. Use a small, long neck funnel that fits into the dipstick tube.

this is a so called sealed transmission, there is no dipstick, there is a fill hole on the side of the transmission, u should be able to touch the fluid with your finger with the plug removed and the trans hot.

How do I add Transmission fluid to a 1998 volkswagen cabrio?

locate the transmission dipstick with markings that reads ATF is attached to it similar to engine oil dipstick/ pull it out and see if the oil level is within limit indicated on the mark/ oil level is high when hot and low when cold/ ATF is normally red in color/ top it up if its less....note: some models doesnt require oil change as their oil is designed to last a lifetime check ur car if its one of them to avoid buying unnecessarily....

If it is an automatic, which I assume it is since you're looking for a dipstick, it needs a special fixture to add fluid(Dealer or foreign auto mechanic) or check level. If it's a manual trans, there is a check/fill plug on the end of the transmission behind the driver's side front tire, probably takes a 17mm internal hex head socket. Use 75W/90 gear oil, filling the trans until oil just starts to overflow through the hole.

Where is the dipstick on my 1996 Chevy Blazer?

if its the transmission dipstick you are looking for. Its on the passenger side of the engine at the rear of the engine compartment.........on a 96 it should be red and flip up and then pull it out to remove for filling you need a funnel with a very small hole at the end and the fluid goes in the hole the dipstick comes out of...........sorry no diagram though.....:(
hope this helps!
