I am experiencing a vibration (at low speeds) thru

I am experiencing a vibration/grinding (at low speeds) thru my accelerator pedal into my foot. The vehicle seems to be shifting OK and there are no problems with acceleration. There are no problems with shifting into various gears or problems starting the vehicle. I have approx. 23,000 miles. No other problems to date. Could this an early transmission problem or teeh result of cold weather?

First of all you must check the gear box oil level, secondly see if the the gear box mountings if they are good,if the is cracking on it,it must be replace.

I have a 2004 grand prix, When you are driving down the highway, and you take foot off gas, there is vibration

Hi Cheyenne:
- For the vibration, I'd be checking universal joints or CV jounts.
- Sounds like you've got your brakes figured out already. Time for some maintenance.

My 2008 Nissan titan will not engage in 4x4 high but will engage 4x4 low. There is also a grinding noise when I try 4x4 on the fly. The light comes on and say it is engaged but it doesn't really engage....

There may be a problem with the syncro rings in the 4x4 high section of the box. It may have something to do with you driving technique by not allowing the synchro rings a chance to bring the mating gear up to speed. When the change is required it should be done at a relative low speed wit either a brake in the accelerator pedal ( lifting the foot for a second) or a clutch disengagement (pushing the clutch in and out for a second). This breaks the load on the gear teeth and allows for the change to be completed

Car accelerates itself

If it is an auto then it is possible it is idling to high and the trans is still engaged despite you foot being off the peddle. Try lowering the idol speed as a first resort.

I have an 1989 GMC Sierra K1500(4x4)5-speed. grinds when going...

It may be the transmission input shaft bushing or bearing, located in the rear of the engine crankshaft, in front of the clutch assembly. If the bushing or bearing is dry (needs to be greased), the input shaft will still try to turn with the engine rpm, even though the clutch pedal is depressed. Also, the clutch disc may not be fully releasing, which could possibly be corrected by adjusting the clutch pedal linkage. good luck
