Fan belt keeps shredding on 2002 pontiac montana

check by hand all moving parts, alt,ps pump, water pump, idlers, any thing the belt touches, all should move freely and smoothly, with no noise or "floppiness". check tensioners or idlers for proper action. check belt for proper groove number, check for proper length, check for proper belt arrangement. had a taurus, once, belt could be installed 2 ways and look proper but one way ate belts and another didnt. when belt label was available, you couldnt miss but with a missing label it seemed that the mechanic would install it wrong but it looked right untill you ran it. so double check belt route.

Nothing electrical works on rear door wiper, licen

Open the rear hatch and look for the wiring harness that goes into the door. Inspect the harness for cut or damaged wires. Also look for failed fused links. These are wires that are design to fail when the circuit is over loaded or shorted. They serve the same purpose as fuses but usually more than one circuit is wired thru them. If you dont find anything wrong then you will need to aquire a wiring diagram to further trouble the circuits.

2002 montana the temp gauge stays in the middle but when i drive it and come to a stop i lose heat i replaced the thermostat and water pump flushed the system refilled and purged what eles could be wrong

your heater core may be partially clogged up, when you come to stop the engine speed slow down and so does the water pump. therefore you don't have enough flow until you hit the gas and the engine rev up again

I have a 2002 Montana and the wiper blades end up in a vertical position when they are turned off. They otherwise work fine. They pause properly in the horizontal position when running in intermittent...

If the wipers end up in the vertical position and they are the HIDE type usually its the park mechanism mounted on top of the wiper motor that the linkage attaches to, there is a small spring loaded lever on the bottom of this device that wears out and fails to activate the PARK position proccess when the wipers are turned off. When the wipers turn off the motor reverses and the lever is meant to catch on a tab and compress the mechanism pulling the wipers to the park position. Only thing I know what to do is replace this mechanism, ($150. new 25. used)

2002 montana program key fob

Key fobs tend to hold their code indefintely. The batteries in them are probably burnt. Open up one of the fobs and replace the battery (hearing aid type) then they should work fine. Good Luck!~
