95 4runner that stalls when accelerating from stop. will let off gas and it will try and regain. Then I will try and gas it will die. Hard to start once stalled but will start again. It is not very consistent it will run fine one minute than it will just die on me

Might be the throttle position sensor.

Sounds like a faulty boost pressure sensor or waste gate. I would check the waste gate first. Sounds like it is opening to soon and letting the boost out, than regaining again.

Check oil first, Low oil sensor will shut down if more than a quart low. Change fuel filter, could be fuel starvation, change the air filter. stopped up air filter will put MAF sensor out of range. PERFORM OBDII SCAN SOON.

Check fuel pressure and volume possible bad fuel filter (not enough fuel volume for hard acceleration)

TRY THE FUEL FILTER FIRST IF THE FUEL PUMP WAS GOING BAD IT WOULD STALL AS YOU PUSH ON THE GAS PEDDLE AND PUMPING THE PEDDLE WOULD NOT HELP FUEL INJECTION AND PUMPING THE GAS WILL HAVE NO EFFECT ON THE RUNNING OF THE VEHICAL

SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE A STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER.

Possibly bad TPS sensor or Bad MAF sensor.

If t dies hard - feeling like the trani is not disigaging when you stop - it could be a electronic part inside the trani.. This part tells the stall converter to kick in at a stop.. Not super expensive to fix.. But best done by a trani shop....
