Wipers stuck in up position 09 toyota martix

If wipers do not work at all, and are stuck in one spot, check the fuse to see if it is bad. If wipers work, but stop facing up when you turn them off then the "park" portion of wiper motor has failed. If this is the case (wipers work and park up) then only fix is replace wiper motor. If fuse blown - replace it - and if it blows fairly soon after changing then something is binding wipers, or wiper motor is taking too much power and again, the motor needs changing.

Wipers work sometimes, and sometimes they don't

Sometimes the wiper motor will develop a bad spot internally. If the wipers seem to stop while they were actively operating fine, try leaving the switch on and manually move the wipers by hand, in either direction. If they start moving again after you move them by hand, then your motor is bad. If not, it may very well be what was suggested concerning the wires in the steering column; However the steering column solution can be tested by turning on the wipers and then moving the steering wheel left and right, if they turn off or on, then the wires are likely rubbing against metal, which will wear off the plastic insulation and short out. If no fuse has ever blown, then it is most likely a bad motor or switch. Best wishes!

1996 Mercury Grand Marquis wipers don't work. I changed the motor and the fuse isn't blown

You need to take the plastic cowls off that cover the wiper arm linkage and wiper transmission to inspect it...cowl is held on with 3 Phillips screws near windshield and some one inch wide metal clips, take off the gasket that fits on top. If both are not working check the transmission where linkages attach, if one wiper blade is not working it is usually the drivers side where the nylon bushing that forns a ball/socket sort of connection fails due to build up of debris and the rusting of parts that follows, let me know if this helps.

Windscreen wipers not working

WINDSHIELD WIPERS

It can be faulty wiper motor or blown wiper control fuse.

Do you hear any kind of noise when you starter the wiper function. If yes then fuse is ok, but issue is wiper motor.

If no movement at all and no noise then its blown fuse or shorted/loose wiper control wiring: -----

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Your wiper fuse may have blown causing the wipers to stop immediately. Check your fuse box for the exact location of the wiper fuse. If the fuse is good, you will need to see if your wiper motor is working. If it is not, the motor is bad. Since your car is just an 08 model, it may just be the fuse. If you have any questions, let me know. Check these solutions first. If neither don't work, let me know.

Whe wipers on my car do not work and neither do the squirters...what's wrong with it?

you could have a blown fuse pull the cover off the fuse box, that is located under the dash board on the driver side. inside the cover there is a diagram of which fuse is which. find the one for your wipers and check it, pull it out and inspect it visually its usually pretty obvious if its bad it will look burned out if the fuse looks intact, there may be another fuse in this circuit. if it's blown replace it and check if that worked if not, check the power to the wiper motor and washer fluid pump both have power then it could be a bad wiper control switch on the handle attached to the steering wheel.i hope this helps.

My windshield wipers stopped working. Could it be a fuse?

Yes its possible that the fuse is blown, check the fuse box and locate the wiper fuse and see if its blown if its blown replace the fuse with the SAME amperage rating, if its not locate the wiper motor under the hood on the firewall and unplug the connector use a test light and turn your wipers on from the wiper switch on your steering column if the test light lights you have power there and the wiper motor is probably bad if theres no power there but the fuse is good you have a broken wire and you need to check all related wiring from the wiper motor to the switch......

Front windshild wiper is not working but back ones are. what is my problem?

The fuse could be blown, or the motor could be bad, or the switch may be bad, or the wiring in between.
