If you have the 3.5 it looks like it is below the intake manifold, right above the water pump.

If you have the 2.2 I'm not sure. I can't get a good pic of it. The best bet is to go to your local parts place and the can help you.

Sorry i don't have a good answer for you. hope that helps

Why does my 2008 chev Malibu drive like it has no power steering?

Are there an light's lit on the instrument your not familiar with ? DO you have regular Malibu or Malibu Classic ?
Also does yours have hydraulic power steering or Electric power steering ? GM had known problems with EPS - electric power steering . Your best bet would be to take it an have it checked out at a qualified repair shop .

Where is the power steering located at in a 2000 chevrolet malibu

If you mean the power steering pump, just look for the pump fluid reservoir. The power steering pump and reservoir are together as an assembly.

Where can I find the power steering resevior

there is a good reason why you can not find the power steering reservoir. It does not have one.

You vehicle has electronic power steering. There is no hydraulic pump, hoses, or reservoir. The steering column has an electric motor and a control unit mounted to it under the dash.

2004 chev silverado ext cab. No Power steering

Hi Hollings,

You description was very good, I need to ask for a specific.

When you turn to the left, the wheel is stiff like the engine is off or does it turn smoothly but the vehicle doesn't turn or seem to respond.

I'm trying to rule out broken mounts,

Also, if the wheel is all the way to the right, is it difficult turning back to the left the whole way, or half way. See where I'm going.?

Please comment back your findings

Best regards
Mike

Most likely the high pressure hose is leaking at the steering rack and pinion, this is where they usually fail.
