Question about 1983 Dodge Ramcharger
Try running power directly to coil from battery see if OK then if so you have an ignition switch problem replace ignition switch in column good luck

Sounds like it might either be the ignition box or possibly just a bad connection in the wiring. my bet would be on the ignition box though.
