It is located at the throttle body where the air intake hose connects to the engine, see picture below.

try wires or ur coil packs very important these go often really a headache good luck,or idle air control valve,or purge valve these control hesitation and acceleration too. good luck

1999 lincoln towncar starts but dies in 30 seconds.


The most likely cause is the IAC valve, it stands for idle air control valve.

A/c pressure switch location on a 1996 lincoln towncar


if you are looking for the cycling switch, it is located at the pass rear of engine compartment at air box on top of accumulator if you are looking for the high pressure switch it is located at the compressor in the line

Car cuts off


Sounds like you could be dealing with a faulty IAC valve (idle air control valve).  It is located on the throttle body and is very easy to change and inexpensive.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa.
