I have a 2005 Jaguar X-Type. I have condensation in the driver side headlamp. Last evening, the low beam bulb went out. (I presume from the moisture) Once I replace the bulb, can I remove and re-seal the plastic lens or will I need to spend over $300 for a new assembly? Thanks

OK....thanks for the help. I'll see what I can do.

There is no way to repair the lens seam sucessfully that i have found in the 20 years they have been using these lens assemblies made of plastic, the plastic weld fails where the lens is welded to the reflector, u can try getting a plastic welding kit and redo the seam but i think it a waste of time from my own professional experience, alsways ended up replacing the darn things. go to the link below for cheaper aftermarket head light lens assmbly.

Why do all lights work except low beam driver side head lamp?

Seems like if your other low beam is lit, there's something wrong with the new bulb. Make sure it's the exact type needed, and switch the working bulb from the pass. side to drivers side to check.

Headlights wont come on. Running and tail lights fine. Wont come on even if manually put them on. Emerg brake not on, fuse seems fine...

Is neither the high beam nor low beam working? Neither the left side nor the right side for each? Knowing this could help isolate the problem. It could be anything from a simple case of blown headlamp bulbs to a burned-up headlamp switch to a defective Daytime Running Lamp Module. I will say, however that I have seen quite a few problems with the headlamp bulb sockets on several of the GMs.

2005 jaguar x-type. Need step by step on how to change low beam light on the driver's side.

Its easy but access is a little difficult. I moved the hose a little out of the way to get a few extra mm by opening the battery cover and fuse box. Then on the light, just flip the 2 clips on either side of the black plastic cover to open. You will then see a centre electrical connector and a separate smaller one. The centre one goes on the bulb - just pull it off. Then there is a spring clip holding the bulb in - release both sides and take out the bulb. Put in a new bulb making sure never to touch the glass part. Reverse all the above and the job should be done.

Audi A4 2002 Low beams & Right front turn signal stopped working

For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
First fuse on first row from left upper corner is Fuse Nr.20 = F20 (15A) - RH headlamp low beam, headlamp adjustment.
First fuse on second row from left upper corner is Fuse Nr.21 = F21 (15A) - LH headlamp low beam, headlamp adjustment.

F 150 Head light issue

You know the fuse for the high beams is good ( Cab fuse panel fuse # 16 ) and the pass low beam fuse ( cab fuse panel # 26 ).
Might want to check cab fuse panel fuse #28 ( this is the driver's side low beam ).

If this fuse has power on both sides ( with the low beams on ) next you can pull the headlamps, and check for power at the connectors, but depending when the last bulb change took place, I would say you need need bulbs. ( need at least 1 for the high beam out )
Confirming with a meter at the headlamp would be a good idea, before spending the money.

The bulb connector has 3 pins.
Black wire is ground on both sides
Light Green w/ Black stripe wire is high beams on both sides
Driver Lo = Dark Blue w/ white stripe
Pass Lo = Dark Green w/ Orange stripe.

Right headlamp

Check the fuse for the passenger side.It is under the hood. it may not be making good contact. wiggle it a little bit and see if it makes any difference. if not, check where the the ground wires are connected to the chasis. See if thats not the problem.
