Plenty. has it had regular oil changes with sysnthetic or semi as these engines gummed up when new due to turbos cooking standard oil and were done under warranty.Alluminium suspension parts wear and more so with abusive driving and you need toilet paper or a diaper when given quotes to replace it all.Electric windows can break and door lock mechanisms stop working and turbos fail.Cambelt history is a must unless you paid peanuts.I have a 1998 20v turbo sport and from new lots were done during release because of factory problems but after that they are faithfull cars if maintained.I clean and lubricate all lock mechanisms monthly and service once a year as well as balancing and alighnment. If you start the car from cold dont rev it just let it idle(dont let the seller sell you a warmed up car)and listen for a smooth idle.Increase the revs to 2000 after 30 seconds and keep it steady to get someone to check for smoke from the tailpipe.Release the throttle and listen for anything rattley like 20 valves that didnt see regular oil changes. If the antifreeze is missing and the water rusty or dodgy looking and the same for the brakefluid, leave it.Check clutch workings and i changed my gearbox oil when i bought mine as there were gearbox issues from new with this car but it can be down to the thrashem brigade who go from 0-60 in seconds. They are good cars but any car is if you treat it with respect.

Engine codes p0011 & P0034 on my 2001 VW passat I replaced the camshaft positioning sensor and not did not fix the problem can anyone help?

Well code 11 means the computer thinks the cam timing is too far advanced, which could be a timing belt issue.
Code 34 is supposed to be a problem with the turbo if your car has one.
Trouble codes seldom mean a sensor has failed.

Vw passat code p3081 what is it? And how do i fix it thanks

p3081 is the error code for the engine not reaching correct operating temperature. It could be an issue with the thermostat or the ECT (coolant temperature sensor) valve.

As far as how to repair those items, your best bet is to purchase a repair manual. It will save a lot of time and frustration.
Good luck hope this helps.

This morning it was very difficult to start my 03 Passat

VAG suffer greatly with a signal failure to ECU that brings the choke on when cold. Your fault is text book of this.

Follow the top radiator hose to where it meet the engine, at that point you will see a sensor, it has 4 wires and is held in by a horseshoe clip. This is the water coolant sensor, replace it and you'll be happy again :o)
