THE BATTERY IS DEAD, THAT IS WHY THE RADID CLICKING NOISE, THE ALTERNATOR IS NOT CHARGING THE BATTERY OR THE BATTERY IS DEFECTIVE, BOTH CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM, HAVE BOTH TESTED, NORMAL ALTERNATOR SYSTEM VOLTAGE IS ABOUT 13.8-14.2 VOLTS

If it is clicking then check and make sure the battery is good.Check and make sure all the connections on the battery are clean and not corroded. If they are corroded or have a build up then clean them.Try jumping the vehicle. If it starts then have your battery and charging system load tested. If it still won`t start then try tapping the starter with a hammer while someone is turning the key to start position. If it turns over but does not start then you will have to check and see if you are loosing fuel or spark.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know if you need more help.

Hey,

You can try another battery if you have one, or take the battery to be tested somewhere to see if its at fault

Both fuel relay fuses making clicking noises under hood in 2001 dodge 2500 v8

the clicking noises you are hearing are the relays powering up, that is normal. with somebody in truck try starting itw ith somebody under truck at the gas tank, take a rubberm allet and bang on the tank in the center of it while cranking, if it starts you need a fuel pump. make sure you have gas in tank the sending unit on the fuel pumps go bad all the time.

Lincoln making a clicking noise and won't start.

Your starter has what is known as a bendix drive. Upon start the drive actuates and pushes and holds the starter drive gear engaged with the flywheel. The drive must be bad and is not locking in engagement, but bouncing in and out causing the noise.

Car won't start. Makes a rapid clicking noise when ignition is in start position

The rapid clicking noise is caused by low battery voltage, you eiother have rub the battery down or the battery is defective or the battery cables are loose or corroded

Won;t start makes rapid clicking noise

Sounds to be a loose battery terminal or battery wire lead. Verify that the headlights are bright when turned on if so battery is not dead.
