Question about 1998 Plymouth Voyager

1 Answer

Our 1998 plymouth voyager Has a bad PCM (computer part which runs what way the pistons fire in the engine) So it runs ok but will not do over 40 mph until that is fixed. Does this sound right & is the part expensive?

Why wont my 97 plymouth grand voyager shift into fourth gear at 40 mph?

Sticking valves. When is the last time you had the transmission serviced? Since it will shift when cold, I would suspect a valve body issue.

Where is the pcm located on the plymouth voyager 1996

Hi there:

On 1996 Plymouth Truck Voyager 2WD 3.3L MFI 6cyl the ECM (Engine Control Computer) is located under hood, driver side, front side of strut tower, mounted on inner fenderwell.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Before trying that there is a simple test for the fan. While running the engine turn on the ac if the fan comes on there is nothing wrong with the fan or the computer. There is a relay switch mounted on the driver side under the fans that is the most likely culprit.
