You still have air in the system very hard to bleed is the slave and master dry look under the dash at the master where it comes through the fire wall to see if it is wet some times you need to power bleed them

92 Toyota Pick up clutch doesnt enagage after replacing clutch, and flywheel?

are you sure the driven plate is on the correct side? The clutch bearing is correct on high? Does the slave or master cylinder works ok? do they keep steady pressure when needed? Is the clutch kit the correct part according to engine type?

Why doesnt my 89 nissan maxima go into any gear?

syncro rings might be bad bronze or brass rings in between gears that help to stop them from moving when you depress clutch so you shift to next gear..

Just got the clutch on my 89 toyota pick-up replaced and now it pops out of first gear and doesn't go into third gear.. any ideas what it could be?

It sounds like the shifter was installed incorrectly.
The transmission does not need to be removed just the shifter from the top pf the trans needs to be installed correctly

Clutch issue? 89 toyota PU 4x4 V6 150,000 miles

Yep, you got it. Assuming spring tension on pressure plate feels normal (you should know with 150k mi) then the clutch disk is worn. Time for replacement.

1983 Ford Ranger Gear grinding

Your clue is probably that when you pump the clutch twice that it works. I don't know about the 83's but the 96 or so on up have automatic clutch adjustment & when the clutch is worn out that part will not adjust anymore and will create the problem, just like th 97 that i have & haven't changed the clutch yet... (too lazy - waiting for it to totally quit before i fix it) So my guess is that if you haven't changed the clutch, pressure plate t/a bearing stuff, you may need to do that. Ford guys should have told you that.... hope this helps, rick

84 hilux clutch

Have your primary clutch master cylinder (found on the engine's firewall) and the secondary clutch cylinder (found at the side of the bell haousing of your transmission) checked. It is hard to convert your kind of transmission into cable type, cables pull while fluid type clutch push, just have it repaired.

1989 Toyota Camry

Hi,

On an 89 Toyota Camry with manual transmission, two possible reasons:
  • clutch;
  • release bearing
Try bleeding the clutch on the slave cylinder. If this does not prove to be corrective, you may have to have the transmission/clutch checked/repaired/replaced. In some instances, it could just be a sticking release bearing or clutch fork.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
