Question about 2000 Isuzu Rodeo
I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, V6. The car stalls at red lights, or will stop excelerating and a reduced power light will come on and then stall out. We have changed the fuel filter, throttle position sensor, and egr valve. We took it to a mechanic and they said that it a computer problem and to take it to a dealer. What is the problem?
It's the EGR valve and can be fixed by anyone. It involves disconnecting the battery, remove electrical connection, and removing 2 screws and cleaning the surface area well and replacing it as well as the gasket. A new EGR valve runs around $120 and trust me you can fix this and save hundreds!
