Without testing it's hard to say, have these checked:
The turbo
Throttle position sensor
idle air control valve, mass air flow sensor.
Have a fuel pressure test done. If these are ok, then further testing needs to be done.

Inspect the brakes first, Then If this vehicle has a LOOOOOT of miles change the rear differential fluid, The clutchs in the rear end may be grabbing/slipping
This is actuallly my first suspect.

Problem is not solved but I did change the fuel filter, coil pack,ICM and have proper fuel pressure to the motor. Car starts but dies right away. I cant seem to find out if the fob on the key ring has something to do with stopping the motor. This fob says Radio Key by Secure Key with a number 35077 stamped on this thing.. Still trying to find out what this is and does it effect the cars ability to run

Car jumping when you put it in gear to park

seems as if it is surging ...quite possibly you should consider a full tune up as certain sensors will cause the flow of gas etc to allow it to act this way these sensors report to the computer what and when to adjust the flow of gas etc ,telling the engine sensors how and how much gas etc are to be applied and distributed thus causing your issue ..

98 grand prix gtp tranny

The tranny is called a 4T65E-HD(heavy duty). The rebuild kits are the same for both supercharged and non-supercharged cars. The occasional harshness is caused by the EPC solenoid hanging up from wear. I recommend installing a Superior Shift Correction kit, 4th clutch hub (the splines strip), EPC, and TCC/PWM solenoid.

This combo works great!

Hello,
Your particular model is susceptible to ignition lead and spark plugs breaking down, as these items are not the cheapest people tend to overlook them on full services.
Renewing leads and plugs will improve economy and performance no end.
I hope this points you in the right direction?
