Hello. Return this vehicle to the repair shop who did the work if it was within the last 30 days. If longer, I recommend that you go to any AAMCO if there is one in your area. AAMCO has a new program whereby they analyze your computer for no charge. This analysis should identify the problem for you which will then give you the information you need to get your best price on a repair. Regards, Joe

whos checking your brakes? you need to have them checked by a ASE brake certified mechanic and you will never have that problem.
Also have them check the wheel bearings, could be dry and going away will also cause the grinding sound but that wont set the brake light on... take it to a reputable shop and they will find your problem.

Mazda grinding while braking.

Hi, i would chk your rotor on the wheel your hearing the noise from. Sounds like a brake pad has worn out and is chewing your rotor. That can cause all your issues. Hope that helps

WHy dose my brake pedal push back and make a grinding noise

Look through the openings in your front wheels and look at the front rotors-are they gouged up? You are probably running metal-to-metal, pads to rotors.
Chances are real good your rotors will have to be replaced along with new pads, but if you catch it early enough you might be able to have them machined, although nowadays that is hardly easy to get done and the savings usually is not as significant as it once was.

My brakes sound like they are grinding

check rear rotors and front rotors for rust buildup (flahlight helps). does the vehicle shake when you come to a hard stop? You will either need to have a front or rear or both brake job (rotors cut or replaced and new brake pads) If the vehicle is shaking when coming to a stop, its probably your front pads. If your hearing the noise from the rear its the rear pads or it you hear it from the front its the front pads. If there significant rust build up or your pads are low a brake job is recommended.

You had to leave something out, or you got a pad in backwards. The right front right,? it is not grabbing, just grinding, should be easy enough to spot, take the wheel off again and find the problem, Changing the pads should have nothing to do with the abs,. I don't know why the light would be coming on unless you have too much movement for the abs to work, or not enough. Check it out, hope this helps.

Front right tire makes a grinding noise , hub assembly has been replace problem stills there, what will be the problem?

It could be a lemon replacement hub or it could actually be the tire. Check the tires tread for irregular wear patterns. If the hub was loose prior to change this could easily cause the tire to wear in a "choppy" fashion which can also cause a rough humming sound that I have often heard customers refer to as a grinding sound.

My escape is making a grinding sound, along with pulsating when braking. My husband has replaced the abs sensor, and it is still doing te same thing. Any suggestions what to do next?

The grinding sound when braking is almost surely worn brake pads. If an abs sensor is bad it will set the abs light on. Heres an easy way to figure whether to look at the front or rear brakes first. When braking, take notice as to whether the vibration is felt more in the steering wheel or the seat. If it is more in the steering wheel take a look at your front brakes first, and obviously if it is felt in the seat look at the back brakes first. Both front and rear need to be checked out because the pulsating you are feeling is due to rotors or drums that have been heated up and warped. In order to fix both problems, you most likely will need brake pads and rotors/drums. If you just replace the pads, not only will the pads wear away faster due to the damage to the rotors/drums, but your vibration issue will not go away and infact may intensify.

1995 dodge neon below 10mph foot on the brakes the abs noise no light it sounds like a drinding noise

Brake pads are worn out. The ABS light would not come on because there is nothing wrong with the ABS. The grinding you are hearing are the brake pad backing plates rubbing against the rotor. You should have heard a high pitched squeal long before this happened. More than likely the rotors are now destroyed and will need replacing or at the very least turned in a machine shop. Fix this yesterday.

My Chevrolet silverado ss abs light came on?

Take the wheel off and check the brake pads, they are probably worn down, and the metal backing on the disc brake pad is rubbing against the rotor. If that is the case, the rotor will need to be replaced, or turned down if it isn't too bad.

Bad Brakes ?

It could be bad rotors, rotors can be rusted on the inside which may be only seen when the inner brake pads are removed. sometimes aftermarket pads can be made of very hard material and they may grind when they make contact with rotors. I would check the condition of the rotors by completely dismantling the rear brake and either re-surface rotors or replace them and put on some oem(dealer pads or a good aftermarket organic pad. Good Luck
